Walking in the rain
Walking in the rain
(moe ye hte lan shauk chin)
In the rain
Remain invisible, dare so
Indivisable, "well, let's go"
Splash low this side pour forth other
Water forms waves and flakes of pearls
Makes quick runs and kicking curls
Chipping, frisking dark and blurred.
In the darkness
Flashes a lightning
Gnarling rootlets of "kokko"
Floating lifeless limbo
Snatching a headless fungus "hmo".
Between the old brick buildings
We wade and wander looking
Downpours forced us floating
Torrents and waves we dare clutching
Clasping and hugging in the rain
Grasping tight we remain.
At the end of road
Anxious and frightening episode
Lightning soaks half darkness
"Let's be pushed helpless thither
Watery windy rain freezes us sure
My warm hands will frisk you tighter".
Dagon Taryar (Taryar magazine, 1949)
