The Sun in My Sky

There is a sun in my sky
Always high in my mind
Since I was a curious child
It fails to fade even with time.

It encourages me to try
Whatever interests me
With hard work and honesty
To serve solely for the country
As the best born of Burma to be!

Its rays reach most men mightily
Born before or after the Martyrs’ Day
That’s Bogyoke Aung San, needless to say.

Oh! He had died 63 years ago
But I still think it was yesterday or so
Time flies quickly and changes follow
Only our country remains static in sorrow!

Who killed Bogyoke with such cruel enmity?
Don’t talk of U Saw that visible mindless entity
There were others who planned it from behind
They wanted to fit Burma in their grand design.

Another Briton Bingley vanished without a call
The British classified certain documents till to date
Socialists and General Ne Win benefited in the wake.

But the events of Aung San Assassination fit
By not looking at what the Court finds
Just look at the facts and profited fellows of the time!
