Don’t try to pluck, my dear...
It’s the time of the Burmese New Year
Smeared sparingly with golden fluid
As all the country wish
The yellowish buds to flower

They raise their heads one after another
She is a mortal too, like human...
She would wish to boast then!

Graceful, Indeed!
From the high clouds in the blue sky
Pleasant breeze blew mild
Then, young and yellow golden buds yell
Neck and neck they move side wards
Who can dance like that much?
It’s so marvelous!

The yellow saffron robe delivers
Peace to the peoples of the world
In order to make this Sasana prosper
It’s purposely aimed with due care.

Please don’t pluck it...
Early buds are painted yellowish
Middle flowers like to meander
So only at the end of the year
Preserving pride and propensity with wits
When proper opportunity permits
It shows its grit and grandeur
It’s the Padauk flower!
