The AMIM's Renaissance

dear alumni,
i have been reading the AMIM website's news and communications since
my admission to it in June last year and i noticed ups and downs of
its activities.i see with happiness the increase in its activities
for the past few weeks and i'm glad and heartened by it.here is a
poem i composed just now.enjoy.

The AMIM's Renaissance

I was afraid for some time
That my beloved AMIM would die
Because many members don't write to comply
They were too afraid and shy.

Now, i begin to see signs of rejuvenation
Many members rise up in communication
Some news, others views and determinations
How to revive AMIM in contribution.

The AMIM is not a personal property
Even though initiated and owned by Saya Johny
Surely, it's the product of many
Who wish to contribute to progress of the country!

Views may differ and opinions divided
But, all should remain united
To preserve AMIM and make it exalted
To inform, entertain and educate doctors thus organised.

Because doctors are respected in Burma
They are looked upon as leaders
To impart health and general education for others
Who now suffer from martial law and military leaders.

Let the AMIM be a beacon of light
To the people fighting for a better life
For democracy, education, health and human rights
All doctors should therefore be on their side.

Dear Saya Nyo and Alumni,

Thank you so much for your AMIM Renaissance
Which gives us some thoughts and assurance

Perhaps someday we wish we will all be united
With our countrymen presently scattered and divided

Saya I can certainly assure you with delight
That all of us are undoubtedly on our people's side

People who are tiredlesslycrying out for their basic rights
But now it seems unlikely to achieve without a fierce fight

Beacon light gives you warning when there is an imminent danger
It gives you time to find your way and seek for shelter

But the problem will not be solved and it will still be there
Unless we all develop a determined will to remove it forever

This reminds me of what our Bogyoke once said" Ya-yin ya, ma-ya yin cha"
Despite being peace lovers, this patriotic idea should be put on the agenda

Present situation is apparently critical and way below par
When junta is receiving support from evil countries like China & Russia

Hence our only hope, in my view, lies upon Europe, UK and America
To act as quickly as possible to save our unfortunate people and our beautiful country called Burma.
