O’ My Gardener (U-Yin-Hmu Nge’)

O’ My Gardener
(U-Yin-Hmu Nge’)

When the sun sets in the west
Silver rays cover the forest
Do you lie down alone and rest,
Have you peacefully slept?

You have planted so many flowers
With delicate stalk and brown blue texture
It has bloomed with full colours
It’s beautiful, full of splendour!

When the cool breeze blew and dances
Bringing clean and fresh fragrance
It excites my remembrance
I look upon you with reverence
Your sacrifice and deliverance for Burma
I say, “Sadu, Sadu” for you to hear.
