The Martyr (Zar-ni-phwar)

The Martyr
(Zar-ni-phwar)

There are many people born in Burma
Past and present for myriads of years
But he was special and distinct from others
He was a martyr.

While playing as boys
He gazed away at times
He always contemplated in mind
He was thinking high.

As student he studied like others
He learned so fast and fared better
He had national pride and stamina
He was full of courage and adventure.

At the age of thirty years
When Burmese call it a “limbo saga”
He was brave and determined unlike others
As a good son of Burma
He marched forward for her future.

In fact, his courage can’t be measured
His love for the country massive
It’s incomparable and infinite
He inflicted many enemies in which
He never retreated for justice
He at last meets his death as sacrifice.
