Bogyoke Aung San
(Past and Present)

In the past when he was young
Some persons talked ill of aung san
Some with jealousy, some with angst.

But, he has mental culture
His behaviour is very mature
It shows his excellent nature.

Because they did not know
And they did not see the whole
So, they said and cajoled.

But, Bogyoke is not dead yet!
His soul is fresh and alive
As clean as rain in the morning
And as strong as the sunbeam
He's enlivening us with vim.

Min Thu Wun
(19.7.1964)

Translation by Dr. Maung Maung Nyo
